2026 General Plan and 2040 General Plan 

The Gila Bend General Plans serve as guiding documents for sustainability, economic growth, property revitalization, and strategic infrastructure development. The 2026 Plan, published on May 12, 2017, provided a 10-year framework with maps and policies addressing land use, circulation, public services, housing, economic development, and energy. It exceeded the requirements of Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS §9-461.05) and allowed for amendments as needed.

Building on this foundation, the 2040 Plan, approved on December 10, 2024, updates and extends the vision for the next 16 years, incorporating strategies to address evolving needs. Both plans guide Town Staff, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Town Council in coordinating future development.
