The Town of Gila Bend, hereinafter referred to as the Town, through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Maricopa County CDBG Program, will accept bids from qualified firms or individuals with an A (A-2, A-3, A-5, A-12, A-14) engineering contracting commercial license as registered with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors to perform the following services: street pavement removal and replacement, curb and gutter construction, driveway pavement construction, sidewalk curb ramp construction, and miscellaneous and contingent construction work, all part of the NORMA AND JOHNNY STREETS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. The bidder must be registered and provide proof of registration in the federal System for Award Management (SAM) registry at the time of bid submittal.
Project Description
This federally funded project consists of the improvement of Norma Street from Dodson Street to Johnny Street and Johnny Street from Papago Street to Norma Street, for a total length of approximately 2000 feet. The major items of work include the following construction items:
1. Asphalt Street Paving – 3” asphalt concrete on 8” aggregate base
2. Concrete Sidewalk (5’ Wide)
3. Concrete Sidewalk Curb Ramps
4. Concrete Valley Gutter and Aprons
5. Asphalt Pavement Removal
6. Subgrade Preparation
7. Adjust Existing Manholes and Valves
8. Miscellaneous Grading & Drainage Work
And any and all other associated contingent and miscellaneous items of work to complete the proposed improvements to provide two new paved street segments in the Town of Gila Bend.
Objective/Scope of Work
The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, services, transportation, and perform all the work for the project known as the Norma and Johnny Street Improvements Project for the Town of Gila Bend, Arizona, as called for in the Technical Specifications and on the Plans (Drawings). The proposer should prepare and provide a detailed time schedule for completion.
The successful proposer will be required to lend all possible assistance in the preparation, investigation, and documentation necessary for compliance with all applicable federal Labor Standards/Davis-Bacon and other requirements of the Maricopa County CDBG Program. The successful proposer should be prepared to comply with all
local, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements. The project shall be accomplished in accordance with all federal program and state statutory requirements to include 2 CFR 200, Executive Orders, and the Arizona Administrative Code.
