It has been a labor of love for Town Clerk, Beverly Parris Turner, who over sees the museum management, curates and catalogs artifacts displayed inside the museum, and has worked alongside Town Manager, Michael Celaya to clean up and remodel the almost forgotten space. With the help of contractor Freddie Villegas, volunteers and other staff members, the museum has been overhauled to bring visitors a more open, airy experience. After the new floor-plan was determined, Freddie Villegas gave the space a fresh coat of paint, constructed several new display cases, helped to move existing displays, and created a central walk-through space complete with its own pergola! The final and probably the most amazing addition to the museum is the replica display of the old fireplace from Lynn Cool's cabin that Freddie Villegas built from scratch with reclaimed wood and other materials found around town! Lynn Cool is due to fill the display with precious memories and collectibles that many of us older residents will remember from our youth, also known as the 'Good Ole Days'.
