PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE TOWN OF GILA BEND

ORDER CALLING FOR SPECIAL RECALL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given, and it is hereby Ordered, that the Town of Gila Bend will hold a Special Recall Election to be held on August 28, 2018.

Recall Election: August 28, 2018

Town Council seats currently held by Mayor Tommy Lee Sikes, Vice-Mayor Chris Riggs, Council Member Bill Hollowell and Council Member Clyde Kreeger, whose names must appear on the ballot as a candidate.

Procedure and schedule for Filing of Nomination Petitions by other candidates:

Candidate Packets will be available at the Gila Bend Clerk’s Office located at 644 West Pima Street, Gila Bend AZ 85337 beginning May 16, 2018

Candidate Petitions must be filed no earlier than 90 days prior to the Election Day – that day is no earlier than Wednesday, May 30, 2018 and

Candidate Petitions must be filed no later than 60 days prior to the Election Day – that day is no later than Friday, June 29, 2018

Nomination papers for write-in candidates are due by Thursday, July 19, 2018

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS Monday, July 30, 2018
