Notice of Town of Gila Bend Town Council Vacancy and 

Intent to Appoint

Please take notice that a vacancy exists on the Town Council for the Town of Gila Bend due to the recent passing of Councilmember Clyde Kreeger. In accordance with Town Code and State law, the Town Council will fill this vacancy by appointment on Tuesday February 25, 2025. The appointment will be for the remainder of the term until the November, 2026, General Election. To qualify for consideration candidates must be a qualified elector of the Town of Gila Bend: must be at least 18 years of age; have resided within the limits of the Town of Gila Bend for at least twelve (12) consecutive months; U.S. citizen; not convicted of treason or a felony (unless civil rights restored) or adjudicated an incapacitated person (see A.R.S.§ 14-5101)

To be considered, you must submit a Council Vacancy Application to the Town Clerk’s Office by 4:00 PM Friday February 21, 2025. The Town Council conducts regular Town Council meetings on the second Tuesday of the month beginning at 6:00 p.m. and holds various special council meetings and workshops from time-to-time as needed.
