The Public Works & Engineering Department directs the water resources management department, engineering department, & the streets & sanitation department. Some of the other responsibilities are:

• Oversight of all Public Improvement projects,
• Makes recommendation on right-of-way permits, easements, and off-site improvements,
• Manages and Maintains the City’s vehicular equipment,
• Performs street capital improvement planning, maintenance, traffic engineering, signalization, etc.
