The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to provide and protect outstanding cultural, historic, and recreation sites and programs for the enjoyment and education of present and future generations. Some of the Department's services include:

• Youth and Adult Sports Programs

• Community Events (e.g. Butterfield Stage Days, Santa in the Park, Fourth of July Celebration, etc.)

• Parks Maintenance and Improvements

• Trails System Maintenance, Improvements, and Interconnectivity.
